Pine Acres | Courtney & Austin

Courtney and Austin said their vows on a gorgeous autumn day at Pine Acres. Tucked away in Marion County, this venue is full of rustic charm and character, and is even home to a herd of reindeer!  On this special day though, Santa’s helpers weren’t the main attraction, instead it was a happy family celebrating love and creating memories together that they will treasure forever.

The colors for the bridal party were on display from start to finish, beginning with matching silk robes for the bridesmaids, in the same burnt orange hue as their gowns for the ceremony.  Details like this make the getting ready pictures look extra coordinated and add a touch of luxury to the experience.  I was delighted to capture some precious shots of their daughter Charlotte trying on mom’s dress… those will be really special for her to look back on someday when she is planning her own wedding!  She and their son Cooper both had big roles in their ceremony, which was truly a reflection of their whole family’s love for one another.

Courtney and her father were both genuinely excited to do a first look with each other, and it made for such a sweet moment.  She presented him with both some traditional and some more non-traditional gifts, including a pocketknife, a handkerchief with a note from her heart on it, and even a can koozie for his favorite frosty beverage!

Speaking of non-traditional, the bridal party’s entrance into the reception was certainly unique.  The groomsmen and bridesmaids surprised the entire guest list when they swapped outfits for their introductions! It definitely got everyone’s attention and at that point, everybody knew that the party was on! From the dancing, and the laughter, to the many tasty flavors of cupcakes, the reception was fantastic, and the details all flowed together perfectly.  I truly wish Cortney and Austin, as well as their children, all of the best!
