Rachel & Landon | Versailles, Ohio

Rachel and Landon had the most perfect day to tie the knot at their church in Versailles, Ohio.  While everyone got ready, I had the pleasure of facilitating and photographing so many first looks!  The bride and groom had a “no peeking” moment where they each stood on a different side of the corner of the church, greeting each other and exchanging love letters.  A first touch set up like this is a great option for couples who want to uphold the tradition of not seeing each other until she is coming down the aisle, but still want to spend some romantic, quality time alone in anticipation of the events to come.  Aside from the bride and groom, Rachel did first looks with her bridesmaids (SO fun), father of the bride (so sweet), and even with Landon’s father, who was really excited to be adding a daughter to his family (so unique and special).  The outdoor location we used for their portraits after the ceremony was stunning, featuring a huge cross statue which set a dramatic and meaningful backdrop.

The wedding party was on top of their game, ready to support the couple through all of the day’s events.  The bridesmaids looked dazzling in their cornflower blue gowns, and the groomsmen were the best hype guys for Landon and even willing to get a little silly with their poses.   Everyone enjoyed the party bus that took them to each location throughout the day and the unique perspective inside it allowed me to set up some very cool pictures!  One of the stops the bus made was taking the wedding party to one of their favorite bars to have their own intimate cocktail hour, kicking back with a drink, some dancing, and a smaller scene to socialize in while the guests made their way to the venue and got ready for the big party. This allowed them to spend some special one-on-one time with their friends who stood beside them both literally in their ceremony, and have stood beside them through life and friendship too! It’s a great reminder that when planning a wedding, couples should remember that the day is all about them, and the schedule can be made to include just about anything they want!

I could see the love between Rachel and Landon as they interacted with each other in the sweetest ways throughout their wedding day, and I truly believe their marriage will have many years of that same easygoing energy as their love continues to grow.
