2019 Graduating Senior | Alden

It is crazy that I am writing about my little brother graduating high school.

It feels like just yesterday he was playing with Hot Wheels and I was forcing him to play Polly Pockets and Barbies with me. He has come a long way and I am so excited to see where his future takes him. I’m pretty sure during his senior pictures he may have hated me a few times because I would say “this is your last picture” and then an hour later I would still be taking pictures.

Ever since we were little, he was my “model” for anything photography related.

When I got a new camera, he was my subject, so I could practice. With any photography project he helped out and any time I went to find new locations I took him with me. I am thankful for him always being there for me and willing to be in front of the camera and model for me any time I ask.

I took Alden’s senior pictures at some of my favorite locations!

For his summer pictures we went to the Scioto Mile in Columbus. I absolutely love the city vibes! We did this session in the evening, so I was able to get a few pictures with the sunset in the background. Next was his fall session. We picked the perfect time to do his pictures because the leaves were so colorful and just the right amount had fallen off the trees. For this session we started at Schiller Park and then adventured around German Village. It is so neat to find some of those hidden spots around German Village. I’m pretty sure we walked around for a good 20 minutes and anytime I found a cool spot we would stop. We then drove to Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley where we did a couple more pictures.

Alden’s final session was my absolute favorite.

For his spring session we started in downtown Columbus. We adventured around and found a parking garage that I thought would make for some cool pictures. Then we went to one of my absolute favorite locations; Creekside Gahanna. I just love all the fountains and the overall look of Creekside. The last location was Inniswood Metro Garden in Westerville. We did his cap and gown pictures. The lighting was perfect, and these are probably some of my favorite pictures of Alden. It was so fun taking Alden’s senior pictures and getting to spend time with him.

Alden is graduating from Pleasant High School.

He was involved in tennis and bowling.  His favorite high school memory was when he participated in quiz bowl. Alden will be attending Bowling Green State University majoring computer science. Congratulations Alden! “Take pride in how far you’ve come. Have faith in how far you can go. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey.”
