Tangy and Calvin were married on a beautiful Saturday in May at Brookshire Wedding & Event Venue in Delaware, Ohio. This venue is prepared to help you put on the greatest celebration for your family and friends. Brookshire Wedding & Event Venue is an all-inclusive venue. They will do all of the work and planning for you! The aesthetic of the venue is very romantic, scenic, and modern. They have a bridal suite and a groom suite. Their beautiful scenery outside includes the trellises on the gorgeous patio, a garden area, an enchanting forest, and the eloquent glow of string lights. The lights are always a favorite of mine.
Calvin did the sweetest first look with his mom and sister. I enjoyed the fact that Calvin included his sister. I think it shows that you, most definitely, can put your spin on wedding traditions. Plus, this is a moment they will all remember forever. Our siblings are our first best friends and it is so special to include them in your big day. That is why I think it was special for Calvin to include his sister.
Tangy and Calvins shared a first look as well. Their first look was full of all of the emotions. If you are on the fence about a first look I would suggest it. Doing a first look can calm both the bride’s and the groom’s nerves because once you see each other it makes you feel more comfortable to walk down the aisle. Once you see your person before you walk down the aisle everything else just seems to fall right into place.
Calvin and Tangy performed a very unique ring ceremony. I have never seen this done before. They had a ring-warming ceremony. Calvin and Tangy entrusted their closest family and wedding parties with their rings. The bride and groom passed the rings around to these special people before they exchanged rings. Calvin and Tangy also placed wedding memorabilia into a time capsule. They placed their vows, thumb drive with their wedding video, and a bottle of Macallan 15 scotch in their time capsule. The scotch was a gift from their best man Dylan and groomsman Joshua. Calvin and Tangy plan to open the time capsule on their 5th wedding anniversary. They plan to reread their vows and watch their wedding video while enjoying a drink of scotch. If you ask me it sounds like a very romantic way to spend the evening on your 5th wedding anniversary.
As a wedding photographer, I love seeing couples come up with different ideas to capture their wedding day. From the small details up to ensure they capture a picture with every guest. There are so many ways to capture pictures with all of your guests but I adored the way Calvin and Tangy approached this. So, picture this, beautiful venue with a stunning reception hall. In the middle of the reception hall is this adorable chic couch. Yes, you heard me, COUCH!! The bride and groom sit in the middle of the couch while the DJ announces tables one at a time to approach the lovely couple. What an awesome way to capture pictures with all of your guests!! This is such a fun, unique idea and it ensures that no one is missed.
If I had to choose a few words to describe Tangy & Calvin’s wedding I would say enchanting, charming and dreamy. It was a fairytale wedding with the most beautiful couple. Tangy told me that after receiving her gallery and going through the photos she thinks of Taylor Swift’s song, ‘Today Was a Fairytale’. I love that she said that! Swiftie all of the way right here! I have been one since I was young. I am so excited that I could deliver Tangy her Taylor Swift version of a fairytale in photos.
