I am so excited to be kicking the wedding season off with Isabel and Michael. Don’t worry we will dive into the engagement session very soon! This beautiful couple will be getting married this Saturday! I am so thrilled to shoot their wedding and watch them say I do! Isabel and Michael had their engagement session at Gallant Woods Park in Delaware, Ohio. It was the perfect area to shoot pictures of these two!
Isabel and Michael are so natural when it comes to being themselves in front of the camera. That made my job easy! They are so kind, caring, and silly with each other. I seriously laughed during the whole session. They are not afraid to be silly with each other. I love that; it makes life so fun and adventurous. These two are not only fun but very loving as well. I could tell by being around them how much they cared for each other and love one another. I truly enjoyed capturing pictures of Isabel and Michael.
However, one of my favorite parts of the engagement session was when Isabel asked me how they should dance during their first dance. The choreographer inside of me started jumping with joy! For those of you who do not know, I am a dance teacher. I love what I do. It allows me to be creative outside of photography. One of my goals during engagement sessions is to teach the couple a few dance steps. I love that I can combine my two favorite things, dancing and photography. At engagement sessions, I teach some basic steps such as a box step, a cute twirl, and of course, a dip! It was adorable watching Isabel and Michael practice the steps I taught them. I enjoyed watching them practice together.
It is a beautiful thing when you can teach someone how to dance, but my favorite feeling is when I teach a couple how to dance. I love watching two people learn the steps together. They trust in each other even when they are just learning the dance moves for the first time. That is precisely what Isabel and Michael did! They put their trust in each other as they learned some new dance moves! I am so excited and can not wait to watch this beautiful union of love Saturday! I enjoyed capturing these priceless memories and getting to know the lovely couple!
